a long time.
a big year.
a shitfight.

My laptop got abruptly decommissioned (BANG SMASH CRASH), losing all my literary work, art, bookmarks, etc.

My job got hectic.

I went on vacation.

I ran out of cash.

I'm getting kicked out.

But apart from that, life is good. Update complete. Expect more works on the way soon :)

Okay, so.

I HAVE BEEN ABSENT FROM THE INTERNET FOR OVER TWO WEEKS. I know. I know. The cyclone of the century didn't keep me away this long! What possibly could have done this to me?

...Uhngh. No excuses. So.

First, there was a boyfriend. Then, I got a totally irrelevant haircut. Also, tomorrow is my sixth day of work this week. And I had a real Friday night last night (by the way, The Green Hornet -- TOTALLY WORTH 18 YEARS OF SQUIRMING, UNIVERSAL). I have been busy procrastinating.

So. There really are no excuses. I could have tried harder, but I didn't. So.

All my apologies to everybody, including myself, excepting fictionpress because everybody there is used to my disappearances, and especially to Tana and the gang. Because I love you and deprive you of posts. So.

Feeling guilty,

Trash

I've been occupied. My sketchbook is quite splendidly full of ideas, however, so hopefully some of those will become digital reality soon. When I find a scanner.

How are you?

My status up there says 'confused'. This is not entirely accurate. I am feeling like melancholy hidden in a hard shell of sugar glass. I'm not often so poetic in expressing my emotions, either, so enjoy it while you can.

The cause of this was a boy. Obviously. As was my weeklong disappearance from the land of Internet due to a boy. Considering Cyclone Yasi only kept me away for six days, I guess this counts as a pretty large event.

New stuff now:

I shaded Kame! She looks slightly better: ordinarytrash.deviantart.com/a…

ANOTHER Canon joke: fav.me/d39swsx

Shourai x Eika is finally done: ordinarytrash.deviantart.com/a…

'Til next time, when I bring you lame links from fictionpress and promises to colour my scraps. Pshhh.

Come At Me Bro!

I survived Yasi.

It's that time of the month/week/edoe/Dormillion day/time fractal. The time where I can sit, stand, lie in the same place for nearly an hour just thinking of new ideas. I feel hopeful.

Today is also the first day I've had my internet back. I did a lot of traditional sketching while the power was out, so expect some of those to come your way this month. (It's a long process, so they might take a while...)

I had a lot of time to think during my week of no power, no work and lots of hard physical labour. It's a beautiful thing, having nothing else to worry about. Bricklayers must be the deep and most profound philosophers.

But what did I philosophize about? Why they never told anybody.

New submissions to Scraps today. A little outline doodle (Guess?) and some Izaiya lineart. I killed the eyes. I'm sorry, Kyra :/

Time to get started on these new ideas!

It's pretty well established that Queensland, Australia is about to meet Tropical Cyclone Yasi -- the largest natural disaster to ever hit the country. It's approximately eight hundred kilometres across, and satellite images show that Yasi is about the same size as my state.

Due to recent flooding, almost three quarters of the state is now devastated. The other quarter is about to be, thanks to this new cyclone. Storms are already racking the south of the state, brought on by TC Antony. Up north, the supermarket shelves and petrol reserves are rapidly emptying, and the state is looking at not only a food and energy crisis, not only mass destruction and power cuts to many areas, but also more flash flooding, as the metre of rain that Yasi brings with it swells rivers and creeks.

Hence the title.
